Dear friends:

Wow! What a time to be alive! Regardless of our perspective and perception of current US and world events, we can all agree MAJOR things are happening and changing at a velocity that is whiplash inducing.

Remember the serenity prayer? “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.”

Serenity. Courage. Wisdom.

I am not glossing over the need for activism and political action (from any political perspective), but rather, I am pointing towards a truth – that your capacity to be “the change” means being the best, strongest, most vital, most vibrant, most serene, most courageous, most wise, and healthiest version of yourself.

Simply stated, if you want a better world, start with yourself. Begin where YOU are. You want a better business? Build and upgrade a better you. Want to have healthier and more rich relationships? Develop and cultivate a better and more loving you. Want to heal chronic pain? Develop and cultivate a higher, healthier you. Want to increase your income? Build a better more creative you. Want to adapt in a very fast changing business world with nimbleness, skill, and precision? Build a wiser, more serene, more nimble you.

I know a lot of burned out activists, coaches, chiropractors, lawyers, social workers, entrepreneurs, real estate agents (I could go on) – that have lost their ability to “chop the tree” because their axe is dull. Their minds are dull, their bodies get toxic, their emotions are backed up. Their spines are hard like rocks. No bueno.

When Abraham Lincoln was asked his strategy to cut down a tree in 5 hours he replied that he would spend the first 4 hours sharpening the saw. Better world? Better you.

My mission is radically simple and crystal clear. I am super laser focused on making this world a better place. Period. My purpose is to catalyze individuals to have extraordinary and energy super rich brains, spines, bodies, minds, and energy systems.

I know a better you creates a better we. A better and more energized and evolved We creates a better world. A better world is a beautiful, and very doable thing. We are all cells in the body of Humanity.

I’ll share 3 SIMPLE, elegant, and supremely powerful tools here.  2 of my suggestions are simple, straightforward, and freakishly obvious. Yet, the science, is super clear, they can powerfully alter your health, body, brain, emotions, and being.

The third suggestion is to go a little deeper, and come spend some time with me Friday night, February 3rd at 6:30 PM. I will part the veil and reveal a path of healing, transformation, and personal evolution that can rock your world in the most awesome of ways. More on that in a bit.

First big idea: OTMs. Opportunities to move. Did you know that by moving, walking, stretching, strengthening in MICRO doses throughout the day you are turning on your genes for optimal living and healing?  Did you know that your body’s trillions (that is a lot) of cells are all wired to respond to movement?

Get this, I am NOT talking about going to a gym or 30 minutes of Pure Barre. Although those things have their place, I am talking about little OTMs all day. Opportunities To Move. Opportunities for a 5 minute walk. Opportunities to do some brief but focused yoga moves. Opportunities to bust our 5 pushups. Opportunities to practice Foundation Training for 3 minutes (my personal favorite).

The research is clear: you can be fit but really unhealthy. You can workout an hour a day, and still be sedentray as you sit at your job, in your car, at your home. Most people consider themselves athletic if they workout 30-45 minutes a day, and its partially true. Consider that our ancestors moved and “worked out” 8 hours a day. That means we are wired to be perpetual movement machines. Movement heals AND turns you ON. It is the spark in the machine!

We are, quickly, turning into a perpetual sitting machines and “device-staring” machines. This is robbing you of your potential, big time. A 5 minute walk. 10 deep full breaths. 5 Burpees. 3 Sun salutations. A founder and hip hinges. Find your thing and DO IT. If you need to be at a desk all day, alter your position often. Get a desk treadmill if you need to (yep, they exist).

I swim pretty much 7 days a week. I also do 20-30 minutes of functional movement and primal strength training about 6-7 days per week. I do it because its fun, it is paying my true health insurance premium, and I know what its like to lose health and scared sh*^less about freaky stuff. I am a better man, a better dad, a better healer, a better husband, and a better business owner. I am a higher energy, higher vibration person who can be a much more potent catalyst for powerful change in the world. I am more creative, more resilient, and happier. I want a better world, so I better be practicing and living my fundamentals and being the best me I can be, TODAY.

Best year? Best you. Start with the basics. Move. OTMs. Get moving.

OTLs. Opportunities to Love.

In a very cool book, Love 2.0, Barbara Frederickson describes an amazing new paradigm of love as a verb. I highly recommend this. The big takeaway for me, as taught by one of my mentors Brian Johnson, was to look at 3 opportunities each day to create “positivity resonance” with people in my life. Creating several opportunities each day where I get out of my head and into my heart with people in a powerful, loving, and heart opening way. How could you create positivity resonance wth your wife? Kids? Colleagues? the Barista at Central Coffee? With that right wing neighbor. With that lefty-liberal marcher person. Positivity resonance.

I set a written goal each day to have 3 instances of Positivity Resonance.

It wont happen on Facebook, twitter, or Instagram. Positivity resonance happens in real time with the real people in our lives. It will boost your health, boost your hormones, break the cycle of living off the fumes of stress hormones. It ends the energy poor tendency for narcissistic self-oriented thinking.

Better year? Better you? From me to We. Change your intention in meeting the people in your life, change your beliefs about yourself and others, and create positivity resonance. I dare you to try this 3 times a day for 40 days and NOT be happier.

Finally, The best way I know of to actually create real, sustained, measurable, and powerful change in your life is to really commit to a change, follow a true and tested path with a valid guide, and to take one step after another for a period of time towards your goal. If you are sincere, clear in intent, disciplined, diligent, and joyful, you are BOUND to be successful. BOUND to be successful. When we change our internal hardware, upgrade our internal software, and get new “energy apps” for our body and mind, the whole game changes. Life gets much more rich, fun, and potentiated.

The path of ReOrganizational Healing is the work I have devoted my life and my pursuit of mastery to. I’ve taken thousands of people down this road and have helped people make extraordinary changes: from healing chronic pain, transforming auto-immune diseases, turning around anxiety and depression, pivoting purposelessness, creating wealth, launching businesses.
